March Meditation

2020 was a particularly challenging year and honestly, 2021 hasn’t been much different for a lot of people as we are all still trying to maneuver through this ever-changing and unpredictable world that we live in. 2021 brought on what felt like a rush to “get back to normal”. An expectation or a hope that normalcy would be ushered in with rainbows and unicorns and flashing neon lights that read, “Welcome back!”…as if any of us knew what normal looked like anymore.

I wasn't ready even though I wanted to be. As much as I’d like to say that I was ready to start to creating my new normal, I’d be lying if I denied the fact that I still held on to hope for change, growth, and to be surrounded by family and friends without a worry in my mind. My mom has always told me that at the bottom of my cup is hope and sometimes I really dislike how right she is. As I continue to move through my own personal journey, I crave community and connection more than ever, but I also crave some solitude because well, I'm tired, I'm a mom, and I like to be alone without feeling alone.

If I'm feeling this way, someone else probably is, too. What I’ve found as a yoga instructor is how common it is for students to be having cravings for similar movements or class styles and as a body worker I've found clients arriving with the same body aches or tender areas, even if rooted in completely different things. I know that if I’m feeling a craving for community, but also an inward connection, I’m not alone in that. March Meditation was inspired by this, but don’t worry, it’s not a full program to follow and it’s 100% FREE.

The intention for March Meditation is to provide you with resources here on our blog, on social media (Instagram and Facebook), and other outside resources to help support you through meditating as much (or as little) as you want in the month of March. This isn’t a challenge and there’s not a specific number of days to meditate.

There will be a new blog post each of the 5 weeks in March. Each post will house resources for you to choose from whenever you feel an invitation to meditate. You can choose from any of the blogs, use your Meditation 30 subscription, and anything else from your environment that calls to you. Keep a look out on our Instagram page @dragonflyintegrativewellness for more information and to follow along as we go through March Meditation with you!
