Body Scanning Meditation

Did you know that mindful body scanning practices help aid in bringing awareness to specific areas of your body, thus creating a deeper connection to your whole self... body mind and spirit? When your awareness of your body is enhanced, you actually may find that tension is more easily released.



By checking in with your body and allowing it to speak to you, you can acknowledge areas that may have been neglected, aches and pains, tension, and stagnation. Once you acknowledge those spaces, you can give yourself permission to release, melt, heal, love, and breathe into your body. It deserves all that it needs.

If you're short on time, follow the steps below to experience this mindfulness practice on our own. All you need is about 3-5 min.

  1. Find a comfortable position seated or laying down.

  2. Place your hands on your belly or heart center.

  3. Take a few deep breaths through your nose.

  4. Starting at your feet and moving up, focus on each part of your body.

  5. Pause to breathe into any spaces that need a little more love today.
